How do I upload images from my computer? Empty

well, so far this is a free forum, so it is easy once you understand it.

1.) scan your image, and save it to your computer desk top, somewhere you can find it easily.

2.) create a "new post" or "reply" or a "new topic" by clicking the appropriate buttons.

3.) you get a little screen with a selection of smiley faces on the left, a text box to enter text, a subject line where you can put in the subject etc.

the button to upload images is the little button to the top right. (I'll post a picture).
you click that button and a little window should pop up

now, when you become a member of this forum, you get a free servimg.com account. servimg is like a photobucket or a flickr account but less famous.

click "browse", find your file on your computer, click ok, click "host it".

note: the resize image option keeps the image the size of the forums, if you want a huge image then select "no" under the menu. play with it.

4.) after you click "host it", the little window gives you three text boxes with stuff in them .

looks like this

------------------------------------------servimg.com------------
Thumbnail:
[url=https://servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=12&u] [copy]
Image:
[url=https://servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=12&u] [copy]
Image URL:
[url=https://servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=12&u] [copy]
-------------------------------------------------------------------

what this means is your image is hosted and has an internet address.
all you have to do is copy the coding in the middle box (under the word "image:")
and paste it in your post.

so you can highlight the text, right click and say "copy"
or you can just click the "copy" button to the right of the text, then right click and say "copy" (or ctrl+c)

then right click in your message text body.
and select "paste" (ctrl+v)

you will get a jumble of code in your message, that line of code is your image.

click "preview" at the bottom of your message to see what your post will look like.

5.) if you want to put another image, click the little blue "upload" at the bottom of the little window.

p.s. I dont' think the window will go away until you post your message, i've tried everything.

email me if this is too complicated, I will make an image tutorial in the next few days.

good luck!
